"The origin of the Pinscher is not clear. Some writers believe it is descended from a very old german breed related to the schnauzers, which is descended from the black and tan terrier. The blood of the standard pinscher contributed to the development of the Doberman Pinscher. The breed was recognized in 1979 and the Pinscher Club was created in 1895.
